This morning (December 7^th) Young Jeezy was on 100.3 The Beat in Philly. Subjects ranging from Lil Wayne’s comments about Jay-Z and Hip Hop being dead.
Beginning with Monie asking the Snowman about his thoughts on Lil Wayne taking shots at Jay-Z.
“He trippin, for real. You wanna holla at dude, holla at dude. I mean last year he was your favorite rapper.”
Then things get heated among radio host Monie and Jeezy. Discussing the current state of Hip Hop. Defending his craft, Jeezy makes remarks about Nas coming back saying hip hop is dead.
“You got Nas coming back, sayin hip hop is dead. Who is he to say hip hop is dead.”
It then went into questioning Nas’ street credibility…
“Nas ain’t no street nigga. He ain’t been in no street. So Nas ain’t done anything he talk about … Nas bust his guns? Nas been on the block? Do Nas have street credibility? Is any of Nas’ homies in the FEDS?”
“If Nas say hip hop is dead. I say hip hop is alive. Tell him to holla at me!”
WHOA.

What the fuck is up with everybody going at Nas and Jay!? HIPHOP IS DEAD. Jeezy and those types are the ones helping to destroy it and thats why their mad. Nas has much street cred, you dont have to murder your fellow man to be from the streets. Duke grew up in QueensBridge, seen his best from mudered and came from hard times, fuck jeezy and his wack ass albums, duke is horrible, its sad when your addlibs are more popular than your verses. Jay also has much street cred. Why would you want to stay selling drugs and living a hard life, these new cats are dumb as fuck and reflect a bad image of hiphop today. I can honestly come to the defense of Jay because of the fact that people are starting to HATE, its not like they have an honest opinion on his album or w/e, their actually hating Jay & Nas. I dont really like Kindom Come but I was happy that Jay was gonna bring some needed light back to the east, the region of REAL HIPHOP TALENT. I feel an East Coast vs South beef bubbling and we all can predict the outcome of that....WHEN THE EAST IS IN THE HOUSE OMG!!!

Snoop, Nate Dogg, and lets not forget it gave us the GOAT Tupac(who was born in NY). The West brought that shit just like the east but in a different flavor but still with great talent. But then we come to the posion. Dont get me wrong the south has brought some good & classic artist, Ie: Outkast, Scarface, Ludacris. Not to much more can be said. Yeah I expect people to defend their region but people hate to hear the truth.
And there is no denying that right now the south is wack as shit. The east isnt doing their job right now because their trying to jump on the bandwagon with this garbage. Talent means 0 nowadays and it shows with D4L, Dem Franchise Boys, Young Joc, Jibbs, Jeezy, Wayne, Cash Money, Mike Jones, Chamilionaire(Horrible rapper), I mean the list goes on and on. Wake up people.

Lets hear you cats wild and throw out a bunch of rappers names who are really garbage only to help prove my point. And dont come at me with "alamoe your such a retard or your such a hater, blah blah" or some wack ass middle school shit, if thats your best defense just save that shit and dont waste a post. And just because some rappers have been around for a long time dosent mean anything. It still all comes back to the music. Half these cats that I hear mentioned as legends are really not.

its all good man, we had this argument many times before, and i refuse to engage in it any more.

and to say chamilion is a horrible rapper, proves to me you've never really listen to him. Granted, i haven't heard ANY of his mainstream drops, so he may not be releasing heat like he use to, but he is one of THE BEST rappers. This is not up for argument, it is fact. I've listened to him since he came out years and years ago. You may not like the things he raps about, but lyrically, he is one of the best out there.

dyke jones is horrible, but he is one of THE WORST rappers out of texas, and he gets no love in houston. he does not represent houston or texas.
