X-box360 Vs. PS3

alright i want a lot of opinions on which game console will come out better thatn the other...the original X-box beats the PS2...and im a PS2 owner..Played Halo at my friends house and i was amazed..lol..need opinions...

Well Halo is Xbox exclusive so you'll have to get a 360 if you want to play Halo3 (due out around christmas 2006 for now. thats subject to change).

The pro's for the PS3 are
that its backwards compatible (so you wont have to trade/throw away your PS2 games). you can have up to 7 controllers (God only knows why they picked that number). and if you have a PSP you can use that as a controller as well. The media format is blue ray (a format for high definition DVD) so if you spend the bucks to get an movie in blueray it will be HD. It has 3 ethernet ports (lan party anyone?). and 2 video outputs. so if your just rich like that and have 2 tv's side by side, you can connect the one PS3 to two Tv's (will help when your using all 7 controllers)
Has the better processor of the two

Cons.
if they stick with the design they have now. you'll hate the controller. It's a boomerang lol.
Also dont know if you like to play online but Sonys service is terrible (im sure its undergoing changes though)

Both Consoles have usb ports to connect to anything and everything digital in your house hold (The 360 will even connect to the PSP *not as a controller*). They will both be able to stream music,video, photos etc. Both have wireless controllers that are standard. both also have ethernet ports.

Xbox360 Pros
detachable harddrive *details on PS3s hard drive capablities are not available* so instead of lugging around your whole console you can just disconnect the hard drive and bring it over to to your friends house.
Xbox live. It keeps getting better and better. You can costomize just about everything. get gamer invites from msn messenger, or you phone etc. free game downloads. all the good stuff the current xboxlive gives you and much more.
IMO the controller is better (you can turn off the console from it. woot)
All games will be in HD (740p mininum alot of games will be in 1080i) *if you dont have an HD tv dont worry. it will work just fine with a regular TV.
It has the better GPU (graphics chip) of the two

Cons
it has less processing power (that doesnt really mean much though)
It doesnt play high definition DVD. instead it uses a regular dvd drive (games will be dual layer DVD's).
to enjoy all the true goodness of live their is a subscription fee (the free silver version is still quite nice though)

Overall it really boils down to games. If you like more of the same rehash stuff (GT5, GTA *insert city name*, tekken 6, etc) then PS3 is the way to go. Xbox has its share of sequals as well ( Fable2, Halo3, Elderscrolls4,DOA4 etc.) but then its got some new games that are exclusive and still good as well (Lost oddysey, Kameo: elements of power, Gears of war, etc.) It will be a close race but i gotta give the edge to 360. it has everything most gamers want. and then some.

Physics, shadow calculations, AI, etc. With the large jump in physics in today's games, it'll mean a huge amount.

Design wise, I gotta say that the PS3 looks much better horizontilly and vertically.

The Nintendo Revolution has also been sorta revieled for those that don't know.

I personally think that Nintendo has come out
with alot of garbage titles for the game cube. So I really doubt

theoritically ya. Theoritically the emotion engine in the PS2 was more powerful than the Xbox CPU can you really see that big of a difference in the games? no. Thats what i was saying.

LMAO@ blow them out of the water. The whole downloading/playing any past nintendo title for free (any game devloped/published by nintendo might cost money thats yet to be determined) is cool but hardly revolutionary. Emulators have been out for years. Everything else the other consoles do equally as good if not better.

thats kinda tricky. Its only for select titles (the most popular ones). Because M$ is using ATI for the graphics chip now they have to license technology from Nividia and that gets rather expensive. Im not sure about all the details but the specific term they used was "Backwards compatible with the most populart titles" or something to that effect (so basically halo 1 and 2 are sure bets. and anything else that sold a million or so copies might be playable as well)

nintendo games are becoming more and more god awful, damn it's a wonder there even still in business. Link turning into a wolf and interacting with butterflies and other animals in the upcoming "mature" version of Zelda...? How fucking gay is that? Thats right up there with the monarch butterfly and Sever idolizing 311. Having mario carry a fucking water gun on his back to squirt things? honestly. There are maybe 5 games out for the cube that are fucking dope, and there all rated "M" and there all made by 3rd parties (with the exception of one or two)

Final fantasy,gran turismo, MGS, GTA, will be enough to make me shell out cash for a ps3
Halo, Elderscrolls 4, Xbox live, perfect dark, will be enough to make me shell out cash for a xbox360
