Rep Power: 5 | Re: Week 7 Topical contender: Pembroke vs. B.Young well here it goes...its all keyed up from just now....
My minds whirling and my skins crawling...
Sweat cascades down followed my tears from ballin...
the howls continuely callin...
no sun or means of light,
so i stay trippin, runnin for life..
an Amazon nightmare or an experiment gon wrong...
hunting me, while screamin' its killin' song...
couldnt hear it, but it could hear my breath...
my heart beatin so loud, it woulda scared death...
grabbin vines, as the fog settled in...
Humity causin hallucinations to meddle in...
runnin out of options, no time for timeouts...
cuz the way my lungs feel, my times out...
so i hide in the dark, the kind vader made...
as i feel a hot air on my neck,
why did i stop, a price i later paid..
as claws dug in...
leavin me drippin wit blood, like gatoraide
Blood curlin scream escape its lips...
swayin in the wind, a ghost shakin its hips...
my lungs emptied, as the darkness got darker...
i was just a school girl caught by her stalker..
lookin up, i remember one thing,
its still engraved in my head...
a queen of her kind, wit eyes of blood red...
finally i see tha claws raise...
she offered praise to god, for this catch...
one she was bound to return wit,
it was a simple game of fetch...
i knew i was done for, my fate was finally gettin clearer...
so one piece of advice..
dont call mary out of her mirror...Bloody!

| Re: Week 7 Topical contender: Pembroke vs. B.Young Haven't been able to get on... give me some time and I'll get my verse in. Thanks for showing, B. The Beast Within
In the jungle, the fittest survive in ancient decree
Missionaries hang bait from the tree limbs and wait for the beast
Men from a lost civilizations with families and basins to feed
Just trying to make a living during the pillage of rape and disease
Raffi, Onoura, Kadour, and I, ever since we've known eachother
United as holy brothers, also known as Safari trophy hunters
No regard for living things, only for the feeling to be paid in full
A white tiger's eyes before you drive the spear and spade it's skull
Rifle aimed, weapon triggered into the dark fray
Introducing their carcass meat and skins into the lucrative animal parts trade
Sometime after skinning a male cat, it's cub rubbed onto it's deadened feet
As my companions raised their guns, I commanded to let it be,
And move onto other territory.. AND GUNSHOT EXPLODED.
Antipoaching is a dangerous business, as they started chasing
Park rangers mounted on steeds galloping for conservation
Raffi was shot in the rib by a guard and left for dead
And after several shots rang out, it seems we didn't get the message
Onuora tripped on a root, again and again, bullets pummeled his body
AK-47 wielded as the red moon from the summit was rising
Kadour was found at the edge of a waterfall, yet he wasn't surrendering
He jumped into the cascading falls below... to death.
I still reflect back on it in perfect remembrance.
This is to civilized readers, a glimpse of the flight I've holstered
Beyond the jungle and into the life of a lion poacher.
"Roughly 30,000 lions remain in the wild. Individual populations are small, isolated, and decreasing.."

was suprised with elushuns verse it was kinda good, but pembroke just comes with that fine touch on each bar that sets him above. good battle but my votes for pembroke just because his verse had the flow and also perfectly written, if you want me to elaborate more just tell me.

| Re: Week 7 Topical contender: Pembroke vs. B.Young im gonna have to give this one to Pembroke as well...
Elushun - you came with a pretty nice verse... i was pleasantly surprised...ya imagery was pretty coo and wording was iight... i liked ya metaphors, tho i think a couple were slightly off... but nicely attempted... i wasnt really feelin the bloody mary twist at the end... it woulda probably been better used on a different topic... showed creativity tho which you had throughout the verse... all in all a pretty decent showing...but it just wasnt enough...
Pem - came with the strong everything as usual...somehow you can get in depth with the subject matter and make it realistic and paint that perfect little picture...every bar in this piece stood out in its own way in how it contributed to the whole of the piece... very well done...
