personally i preffer US rap but being a UK head myself i respect UK rap, if your looking for british rap i would recommend Sway, Lethal Bizzle, Choong Family, Dizzee Rascal etc

its a strange scene uk hip hop mostly full of 17 year old males squabelling about which side of london is the best , but if u look further into it there is sum decent talent like jehst , tommy evens , kalesh, and ti not forgetting mr manuva

US is better overall but the UK has started to find its own way after having copied not only accents but the style of the yanks for a good while.

i'm liking Akala, Klash, Terra Firma, Dizee though he's more garage hybrid, Jehst lyrically, not feeling that accent at all, Skinny, Plan B, Example, Slick rick lol, Taskforce, Roots Manuva, Blak Twang, Phi Life Cypher (sp?)
