Religious fanatics in general are retards. There's no way to defend the rioting, but there's also no way to defend those cartoons. Drawing Muhammad (who it is stictly forbidden to idolise) as a suicide bomber is only meant for one thing: to provoke. It isn't witty or funny, but fits in quite well with the massive white hostility towards Muslims in Europe. WTF did they expect to happen?
The centuries-old anti-semitism in Europe has now firmly shifted to anti-Islam. Now, as far as I'm aware there hasn't been much rioting at all by Muslims in Europe. Only the extremely fundamentalist Muslims (and there's a lot, I agree) in the Middle East have rioted. The worst that happened in England wa a small group of Muslims protesting, with signs saying shit like 'Behead those who insult Islam'. Irony is, most of these extremist Muslims don't actually follow their religion all that well. For example, a guy on this protest dressed up as a suicide bomber. It was later discovered this 'Muslim' was on parole after serving jail time for selling crack.
Another good one is the case of the cleric Abu Hamza. The man who was so dedicated and called for attacks on brothels was discovered to have slept with prostitutes on several occasions. Not all that different from the extremist 'televangelist' Jim Swaggart, who was found guilty of the same crime, but continues to be active in the Evangelist community to this day. There's as many crazy extremists in the southern Evangelist communities as there are in Islam, difference is that US' hugley patriotic society does not accept things such as flag burning and violent protests, because of the Western belief hammered into us that rising up and struggling against stuff is wrong.
Basically, Middle Eastern society and Islam are two different things.

But let's define terrorism. Here's the US definition:

hmm. That definition makes the USA the single biggest culprit of international terrorism in the last 50 years. Nicaragua is a good example, and Iraq a [technically] debatable one. Kinda contradicts their 'War On Terror', huh?

Check out what Israel, with America's 100% backing (not to mention money and weapons*) has been doing to Palestinians, Jordanians and the Lebanese for the past few decades. I don't condone murder of innocent civilians at all, but you all wonder why these guys are so pissed off.

Terrorism? As far as I'm aware, flag burning does not constitute terrorism. Calling for attacks on the west is incitement to terror. By the definition, saying 'We will bomb you' is terrorism, while 'we should bomb you' is incitement.
If you're referring to London bombing, yeah that's obviosly terrorism. But consider that 52 died that day, then compare it with how many Afghans died as a result of the US and UK stopping all food aid; how many children have died in Iraq as a consequence of being in the wrong place when US missiles hit; how many innocent Palestinians have died from Israeli missile attacks on 'terror targets' for simply being in the same building or stood in the same car.
They aren't doing anything much worse than what we've been doing to their people. It's all wrong.
