the midwest is the "new south". when you have concentrated areas like that where people are mostly the same, shit like this is going to happen. it's going to be hard for any good democratic nominee to get a fair shot because of that. clinton's strength was that he had that southern, down to earth charm that a lot of them could relate to, but he was also a very good president. bush could shit on a stage and i don't think it would matter to them. as long as he's out to ban gay marriages and keep their way of life in tact they don't care. | |
