Alot of people assume they're racist, they're pro-black obviously and probably Muslim. As black Muslims often create a gap between themselves and Caucasian people for some reason they do seem racist.. and yet they're not.
It's more like they're extremely pro-African but not as anti-Caucasian as they're pro-African.. are you still with me ? That's how I interpretate "The Roots" in general.
?uestlove and Thought and everybody are too college-rap to be racist. Love probably talks more like a white person than anybody I know. Also AT LEAST 80% of their audience is white. The Roots are music for white college kids, whether you believe it/like it or not. They've got a white guitar player currently as well if I'm not wrong.
The whole dousing him in gasoline thing was a little crazy though.
Thinking about it more I mean...Jabb$ made an understatement. If it was three white dudes and a black dude in the chair? They'd go to fucking jail. There would be a public outcry.There would be fucking riots. That band or musical outfit or whatever would NEVER book a show and NEVER press a record in America again. Never. And is the hostility toward the idea of a type of white person (dress shirt, tie, maybe corrupt senator or evil CEO or something) any less apparent here than it would be for a certain type of black person in the video with three white dudes and a black dude in the chair? Maybe he'd have a bunch of ridiculous shiny Fubu gear, spaceship shoes, big nasty gold grillz, welfare check, gun, crack stains, whatever. It's the same idea. And it's just as obvious.
Society is one big halloween candy bag full of fucking retards. Everybody wants to be the most righteous, nobody thinks about shit, the LCD consistently has the loudest voice. How else do you think we still have the bullshit-ass "tough girls" in movies and every commercial featuring a dottering moron husband and resourceful, resilient, intelligent, long-suffering wife?
It's one more reason to blow up the world.

WOULDN´T for even a sec belive that they´re racist.
Contract was pretty on point with what he said about The Roots, that´s about the size of it..
(although there IS also PLENTY of black people that be diggin The Roots too).
So if you STILL ain´t fa sho, lemme tell ya-they AIN´T racist.
