RFBA
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, it's time for some hoops! The football league has been running great, so hopefully this will go the same way. Despite being invaded by Hardkore's homosexuality, the draft was a good time. you know the drill though, there's gotta be winners and losers.
Retail's Niggas- "eh" is the first word that comes to mind with this team. this team is lead by the likes of the injury prone Vince Carter, Gilbert Arenas, & Eddy Curry. although i like those players, they definitely won't make retail's team enough to be a top team. his weak bench and utility players aren't really much to write home about either.
Grade: D Hardkore's Hoopsters- the Miami Musketeers suprised quite a few people in the RFL, but Hardkore's team of homothugs won't be a suprise this time around. Despite coming into the draft a little late, Hardkore has put together one hell of a squad. Jason Williams, T-Mac, Desmond Mason, Richard Jefferson, Amare Stoudemire..... the man has a nice team. Combined with his nice set of role players, Hardkore might be inflicting a lot of damage.
Grade: A+ Seek and Destroy- This is one of those teams that I can really see hovering in the middle somewhere. Paul Pierce and Michael Finley will provide a nice offensive spark for this squad, but i don't know if he collectively has enough to hang with the pack. he'll win his fair share of games, but i can also see long stretches of consecutive L's.
Grade: C Down South Hustlers- nice big men, weak everything else. Jermaine O'Neal & Zack Randolph will not be enough to get the job done. Carlos Arroyo is coming off a good year, but with Boozer coming in and Kirilenko signing a big deal, i'm not too sure how much he'll contribute on a regular basis. not a lot of faith in this squad.
Grade: D+ C-Matic's C-Men- Kobe Bryant, Kenyon Martin, & Andre Miller headline C-Matic's squad. it's hard for me to say that this team will be dominate because i'm not really too impressed his other players.. a few good trades and free agency pickups could really tighten this crew up. decent squad, but time will tell on this one.
Grade: C MoreThanMeets DaEye- youth. that's the first thing you notice about this squad, and unfortunately it's going to be what kills it. Five rookies and two sophomores is the equation for a very long season. while i'm interested in seeing what Livingston, Deng, and Howard will do in the league, it's hard to guage their productivity when they haven't even played one regular season game. i can't be all negative though because he has some solid guys in Lebron James, Ronald Murray, and happy-ass Q. Richardson, If Eric Dampier plays to his potential he can also be a very productive player. i'm really interested in seeing how this team does, but for now...
Grade: D Slate's Pink Tees - the beauty of this team is that minus Pat Garrity, the entire roster is filled with people that can produce. on top of that, he has stars that can get him big games as well. Peja, Carmelo, and the supporting cast are going to win a lot of games.
Grade: A+ Niggas Be Wallin - this is another team that has a productive roster from the top to bottom. while he doesn't have the players that will put up as many points as the Pink Tees, i still like the balance that has on this squad. Steve Nash will throw out a ton of assists and occasionally drop some points alongside Eddie Jones and Shawn Marion. should be interesting...i really like this team.
Grade: B+ Brooklyn Pharohs- the problem with this team is that its most productive players play the guard position. cassell, billups, and g. payton are nice to have, but he should've definitely tried to even up the positions a bit. other then them and Kirilenko there's not much to say about this team. they're aiight.
Grade: C- Los Angeles FuckShaq- interesting team. he picked two of the best guards in the league in Baron Davis & Jason Kidd, but he also picked Up Rip Hamilton who's always solid. the question on this squad will be whether Webber stays healthy the whole year. if not, this team will suffer a lot because they really need his production for them to hold it down.
Grade: C Hideous Squad- watch out because this team might come into your arena and bust your ass. Mike Bibby, Jason Richardson, Elton Brand, & Abdur-Rahim give him a very well rounded team. bitchass Allan Houston won't be starting the season, but he'll definitely help out whenever he does get in. the bench and utility players could be a bit better, but overall this isn't bad.
Grade: B+ Team Focus - i'm loving the combination of Diesel, Boozer, and Donyell Marshall. i'm also a fan of Skip and Bonzi, but i don't know how much production he'll get out of them night in and night out. this team doesn't really impress me or turn me off one way or the otherr. I can easily see them somewhere in the middle.
Grade: C H-Sektion- Corey Magette, Joe Johnson, Ron Artest, Tim Duncan, & Leandro Barbosa lol. that last guy doesn't really fit, but i like the versitility that he has with this team. the scoring and defense will definitely be on point. the only thing that might hold this team back is the production from everyone else and shabby pg play. regardless, i get the feeling that they'll be okay.
Grade: A SYS Squad- be afraid, be very afraid. Dirk+Tony Parker+Gasol+Stephen Jackson = beatings. he also picked up three rookies, but since they're not a primary source of stats they'll just be a bonus. i like this team.
Grade: A+ Ruckah's Bitches- i dunno why his own team are his bitches, but i'll leave that alone. what you have here is a team with players that can explode for points. the problem is that two of those players (Jesus Shuttleworth & Rashard Lewis) are on the same team. it's rare that you see two people on the same squad have a really great night. but at the same time, he's pretty much guaranteed that at least one of them will. the bench and utility players aren't really anything special, but this team is enough to be respected.
Grade: B The Union- i think Ben Wallace and Starbury is a good combo, unfortunately that's about the only good thing i can say about his team. unless Grant Hill actually stays healthy this year and James Posey becomes a bigger force, don't sweat this team.
Grade: D- Miami Heat Holders- i'm tempted to give you a F because you have Keith Van Horn's queer ass, but i'll try to restrain myself. nevermind, fuck this squad.
Grade: F Granny Gynecologists- this team's success is dependent upon three things: 1) Iverson staying healthy 2)Steve Francis being consistant 3)Rasheed Wallace remaining solid. if one of those things falls apart this team is finished. regardless of that, i'm not too pumped about this squad.
Grade:D+ Layemdown - this team doesn't really have the makings of anything special, which is ashame because he has KG. Jason Terry should be a decent contributer, but Antione Waker is too streaky to depend on. good luck.
Grade:D- Buddy's Bomb Squad i got my boy Dwayne Wade and my team is solid. that's all you need to know.
Grade: B
i get the feeling that it's going to be a really close race the entire season. i guess we'll find out soon. :D:
