Default The New Bond..

Is it just me or did it lose a lot of its bondness and kinda come across like a transporter knockoff?

bonds no longer smooth and classy hes a lot grittier.. they did away with a lot of the comedy... idk it ws an ok movie.. just not very .. bondish to me..

thoughts?

I dont know, to me it didnt really feel like a Bond movie, but it was still a pretty good movie. I would have like to see the old James Bond playing the role still. And ol girls eyes were trippin me out. she looked like soemthing was wrong with her. (imo) She wasnt nearly as attractive as other female co-stars.

word @ the girl

and thats what im saying.. its still a solid movie.. its just not a bond movie to me.. if i wanted this type of movie id go see transporter or something.. i go to a bond flick to see gadgets and one liners and bond being well.. bondish

plus the villain wasnt as good as most bond villains... not near as over the top and larger than life

on a side note that black dude in the chase scene was off the hook

Isn't this bond film supposed to be the beginning of all Bonds, like before everything. I think that's why it was so different. It kind of reminds me of the newest Batman movie. Christian Bale was fantastic in the part but I thought he was very different from all the other batman actors. However, I think a lot of it had to do with the Batman story just like this new Bond Film.

man I thought the girl was absolutely stunning. I dunno, it still had a couple of cheesy bond moments but yeah it's a lot more Hollywood action film imo than it ever has been. I liked having a grittier Bond, cause it fits in with the storyline that he's just starting out as 007.

Yeah..it was gritty for a reason.

It showed the amateur side of Bond, when he first started off as 00 agent, and his nievity in some aspects too. Wouldn't of fitted in if it had been done in any other fashion.
Obviously that means he isn't going to be as smooth as he is in the other films but it helps explain why he is so smooth later on.
I thought the Casino scene itself was one of the best Bond scenes ever.

However

Live and Let Die + Goldeneye > Casino Royale.

Baron Samedi > All Bond enemies.

I haven't seen it yet, since I've been in the hospital getting my appendix removed. What's your excuse?

Slide Show of the Bond girls!

Ursula Andress has always been my favorite. Even though she's a villan.

Secret Agent Style

Here's a list of Casino Royale's Bond accessories. Made for or inspired by the movie.
