well i like boogies sig best

mainly cuz i like the style and the bg is dope dont really like the dotted line though

dynamites background is just too choppy dont like the flames in it that much other then that its decent

runs doesnt look like runs normal work looks like he just got a pic and put rapflava on it and blurred the edges a little

i liked thrax's text wasnt too great though and it was too plain i think bg is decent

once again on strongs i didnt like the text that thing he's holding is sick though
and its just too plain i think

Bhands was surprisingly good the text was nice and liked how he did black and white only thing is at the top left the bg is choppy

boogie- REALLY DOPE quality...don't catch the concept really just weird shit

dynamite - are you serious you entered that?

run- the quality is better than the orig. and i like the RF.com stuff in the back ground...headphones is a cool add, lap top is good, headband looks funny

thrax- yours is nice man...brushing, color changing, and text looks like the only thing you have done

strongarm - didn't see yours in the other thread, dope concept, i'm guessin you did the shirt and put the heart in his hands, and the text

blackH- nice picture, seems as you just changed the color and add'd text...the text is cool though..maybe you done a little shadowing


thrax and run were the only ones to use music in their sig
thrax's concept with the music moves at the speed of light is dope..but doesn't seem like he did much to it...sicco pic tho
run the only neg. about yours is the headband!..love the addition of the headphones and laptop really put "movement" into play since he on a train and still fuckin with music
strong with gore whats new ;]~ ripping of the heart out is dope for a concept...

my vote - run. his looks teh best to me.. boogie and strongarm are also very close behind but runs is the best in my opinion.. dnymaite or black hands wasnt that band either. thrax was good concept, its missin somethin tho.. nice stuff

When I thought of the topic I was looking for a definition of Rapflava as a community and a website. It could be rap related, and it could be something else. It depends on how the person interprets the phrase "The Movement." I was surprised at how well everybody captured that concept..

To the vote.

Algor Mortis - I knew you'd do a female signature.. I only suggested one to you because you said that you couldn't think of anything. Besides the fact that it's nicely rendered and clear, the color scheme isn't working for me. The yellow pinkish swirl doesn't blend with the darkness of the backround. The text and feel is up to par with your usual.. I feel that even a simple female image would have been better. The dotted line near her armpit was creative, I imagined an octopus tentacle. Nice entry, boog.

Dynamite - Not bad, I like your approach to the movement with the flag victory war scene. The downfall of this was the red backround design. It doesn't belong with the theme.. I still think your entry feels complete. The cursive text didn't strike anything with me, you should have continued executing the military vibe.

Run - Best entry so far.. concept is just what I expected. The clear photomanipulation makes it look like a coffee shop ad.. the lighting is nice, added laptop fits right into the theme of RF. For a second, I thought it was you.. could it be? The "m" on Rapflava.com is cut off but that's not a problem, everything still looks professional. I kind of wanted to see all signatures in this contest, but a vertical styled entry like this is acceptable. Very good entry, thanks for participating.

Thraxwell House - Ahh, I've seen this one before. The image you chose is actually on PURE's free website. Strongarm took that and labeled it as a section for one of the websites options. The man in the middle is kind of blurred.. the dark text at the top and light text at the bottom are a distraction. The pinkish light on the DJ's record player doesn't bring out the "speed of light." If you've ever seen a streetlight photo they're blurred/distorted by the camera. That would have been a better choice for a light display.. Still though, thanks for entering, I just feel that you could have done better judging from your other sigs you've made for members.

STRONGARM - Haha.. I forgot to pm you about the contest, I wanted you to enter. Sorry about that.. you still showed up. Solid entry, I should have known you'd do something gory/organ related. Funny

BlackH - Damn, nice one. The view, graffiti, and text are all equally successful usages here. It's black and white, but not to the point where it seems bland. Def. one of the top 3 here, thanks for entering Black.

algor, i liked your BG and it was a nice sig. but towardss the left side it looks to dark for the rest of the sig and towards the right of her fce it looks to bright

dynamite, thys was actually nice to me, i didnt like how the BG was but the people/soliders or w/e on the hill raisin the flag was more representin a movement, i dint like the little lines every where on it

strong, gory as usualbut didnt represent really what thys was about to me,

blackH, nice work on thys, i liked the text, and the court in black and white was cool, but as alotof the others, i didnt see how this represented the topic of thys

thrax, dude what happened, i liked the blurring of it, the text went welll with the pic, but the actual headphone guy seems out of porportion

hahahaha.. People know how I do. "Around my way they call me slap and post, cuz I take pics.. slap on some text and then I post..!" Now that this is basically finished.. (I'm assuming run won.!?) in perspective MY entry is the only entry that actually made any sense.. but people couldn't see past the gore element. You guys took it literal.. when that wasn't what the picture was intended for. Boogie = normal sig with a bitch in it. Beautiful but Naw... run=asian guy on a subway train listening to music with a laptop on a briefcase. I'm not asian. We don't have a subway in S.F. I don't own a laptop. Never used a briefcase..! Cool but Naw... Dynamite=Army men raising an american flag.!? Naw... Thrax=dj spinning. Almost every single member on here has never scratched a turntable..! Naw... BlackH.=an inner city basketball court. Ok.. but naw. My sig=(the metaphor) Every member of this site giving their heart to RF.. showing the dedication to "the movement". I thought it would be apparent.. guess I was wrong..! lol.. this was actually fun.. probably because I'm sure I did the least amount of work to be involved..! YES... Congrats to everyone for showing and contributing.. I LIKED EVERY ENTRY.. although I disagreed with how much they pertained to the topic.. I still liked all of them and respect your creativity..!
