whats more important...that america has the most medals?...who that china has the most gold.
am i just buggin or did this like-used to be scored 3 for gold 2 for silver and one for bronze?..
maybe im trippin...but idk..

Chinas supposively is going to get stripped of several gymnastic medals for false documentation and having underaged competitors, but even with your 3, 2, 1 system the count would be:

China
141 + 34 + 25 = 200

USA
93 + 72 + 35 = 200

i have big money on the u.s to score more medals overall than china.
i originaly put 300 on at 1.58 at the start of the games. then on like day 3 when the medal count was even i put 500 on the u.s when i knew they would get at least 5 medals in the pool that morning. which they did. odds where 1.5 then.

i thought it would remain even until the athletics then u.s would jump ahead but u.s didnt do aswell as expected in the atheltics, fucking up the relays and not getting placings when they should have etc etc.

the way i see it i think the u.s have enough medals to win overall, at the moment, when you add in the gauranteed team sports medals they have coming in the next couple of days. so i think my money is safe.

will return 1200 to me.


china were always going to get most golds. where unbackable favourites. i think they lack depth in certain area's but are almost specialists in their chosen fields

no idea. its almost a 50/50. so basically whoever was paying the most i would bet on. but if i had to bet my life on or the other. i would have probaly gone china just because they getting more 3's than the us.
but yea i never looked through the games with that forumla in mind, so cant really say 1 way or the other

and im also surprised kenya only has 2 gold medals..

kenya has been getting owned by ethopia in the long distance events.neither can sprint, but ethipans are beasts in both the mens and the womens, they got the guy who has NEVER been beaten in the 10,000m.. but yea i think i remember that being the scoring system back in the day. i think getting most gold is more prestigious than getting most medals. but i dont think its really a big deal, for anyone except bragging rights between countires. like take bolt for e.g i doubt he really cares if jamica get more golds than their brothers in trinidad and tabago, hes reping his country while he gets that gold for himself.

but judging by the way they norm list the country with most gold medals on top of the list thats probably what 'its' about.

as leader...thats why i was asking over here.
maybe its just in america.....so we can
shift it for a win...like we always do

the main list i go by is from the official olympics website, where the automaticaly rank them by golds but you can change the view to rank them by most overall. makes sense for your lists to be ranked with us at the top because thats what your countries viewers will be most interested in

well the olympics on nbc(though it could just be bias cuz its a US station)shows who's leading overall, not number 1 gold count
