To RapFlava:
Thanks for all the support you've given me and my group The Hoodlum Bunch
over the last year. We finally have a project done and we want you to go
ahead and download it with the links below and tell us what you think. We put
many hours of work into this and learned alot over the course of making this
as well as made some important industry friends such as Mick Boogie along
the way. Theres alotta club songs and mixtape cuts towards the front and
alot more soulful tracks and hip-hop tracks towards the end. We even got a
rock and roll section in there. We're trying to be versatile and with everything
we learned from our mistakes on this one we hope our next is even better.
Look out for that Let Us In: Volume Two in 2008 as well as upcoming projects
from me, The Referee and Bino Camyon in the summer.

Ok. The mixtape from my group The Hoodlum Bunch has been out on the internet for a month now and in the streets for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Its entitled Let Us In: Volume One and you can get it by clicking
here. Its hosted by Mick Boogie, DJ G-Spot and The Blackheads as you all know, but I just want to update you on how everything is going.
We've gotten the mixtape into the hands of several DJs such as DJ Chicago, Scratch Master L, DJ Steph Floss, Terry Urban, DJ Zar, DJ E-V and many others who have played it in the club or have hit us up about it. Ol Thug Rhythm was played at the Envy and Sea Level Lounge and is going to be played by Scratch Master L on 107.9 sometime next week.
We've been selling mixtapes hard! If you've noticed im not on as much, but we've gotten off over 400 CDs so far at $5 a pop. We're going to get them sold in retail stores starting in two weeks or so at a spot called Nooks which is one of the most popular clothing stores in the area.
Our CD has been on several sites the biggest of which is Rapmullet who will post the review of the CD early next week. We've also gotten on another mixtape, this time DJ Harely Hustles 1000 Grams series.
We've been doing shows here and there, but promotion is coming from grinding on the streets moreso than in a venue so we've taken a break from shows to gain a bigger buzz for 2008.
Help support The Hoodlum Bunch and spread the word. Thanks all.
Let Us In: Volume One Review On Rap Mullet! Rapmullet.com - The Mixtape Industry's Bible
This is not a ghetto version of the Brady Bunch people; but you will still need to tuck your chains, hide the children, and play your position. Cleveland Ohio IS the next spot for the best young taleted MCs in the USA...hands down. I don't care who you know from the south or the east or the west there is no region right now that compares to the Cleveland area, Ohio and really the whole mid-west. They have the talented DJs and the MCs and the drive to make their city the next hip hop hot spot.
"Neighborhoods" got that knock man. Jab hits the booth hard with punchlines that weigh a ton. I'm fucking with this hook too. It wouldn't be a mixtape with out some mixtap flips on here. "Diamonds" is not may favorite beat but they pulled it off and added their own lil flavor to the track. Referee was shinning on this one..."my pockets so fat that my jeans got stretch marks." Bino got a uniqe flow. "Ol Thug Rhythm" grew on me, shit was simple but that hook just draws you in real catchy. As far as the mixtape flips go, "Comin Down" was the shit. Bino and Referee owned this beat and made it some new shit. The Blackheads laced the beat for "Cash", shit just sounds thick to me, bass drippin' and shit. Devious can rhyme but his voice sounds mad generic to me for some reason. "Imagination Pleasure" switched up the pace and he went in concept wise but his voice didn't stand out enough to me. "Simply Beautiful" was a better sound for him. The joint I had on rewind tho was "Yes, Indeed". Referee and Bino worked well on this joint together. I think they could have traded bars back and forth even but the hook by itself is potent as hell.
I got two words after listening to this project; crazy potential. The group dynamic def works for them, the chemistry is there and everyone holds their own in the booth. I liked the balance on this project too, cats showed some versatility and showcased their talents...mission accomplished. There's always work to be done tho, perfection of the craft is a never ending struggle and The Hoodlum Bunch are aleady heading in the right direction. (12/12/07)
