PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Rookie Sebastian Telfair is helping the Portland Trail Blazers now, while giving them some hope for the future.
Telfair wasn't the high scorer on Saturday night, but he had a season-best 14 points in 24 minutes and made a big impact in the Trail Blazers' 97-88 come-from-behind victory over Golden State that snapped the Warriors' four-game winning streak.
``Sebastian was terrific. He can see the floor as well as anyone,'' Blazers coach Maurice Cheeks said. ``Not many guys can get to the basket like that. He can play well beyond his years.''
Telfair was the team's first pick, 13th overall, in this year's draft out of Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
``Coming off the bench, being a young guy -- I just want to bring a spark and some energy,'' he said.
Both teams were beset by key injuries. Golden State guard Jason Richardson, Portland forward Zach Randolph and center Theo Ratliff all sat out.

The Warriors built a 14-point lead in the second half, but Damon Stoudamire capped the Portland comeback with two consecutive 3-pointers to tie it at 71. The Blazers got another 3 from Stoudamire to tie it again, then went ahead 78-76 on Telfair's layup.
The Blazers extended the lead to 84-80, but missed five straight free throws that could have given them a more comfortable margin. Darius Miles finally put the game away with a block and a dunk with 1:47 to go that made it 87-80.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim led the Blazers with 26 points and nine rebounds. Stoudamire finished with 19 points.
But it was Telfair that made an impression -- even on the Warriors.
``He's quick. He changes tempo,'' Golden State forward Mike Dunleavy said. ``I didn't think we did a very good job on him. Obviously if you know he's going to try to go to the basket every time, you've got to figure out a way to stop that.''
The Blazers lost their previous two games, including a 114-80 rout by San Antonio on Thursday. It was Portland's most lopsided loss of the season.
