Ruff Ryders Reunite, New Album On The Way 2008 is shaping up to be a big year for the so called "ill-fated" East coast. With releases from artists such as Nas, Jay Z, AZ, Fat Joe, Clipse, Joe Budden, Saigon, and Busta Rhymes coming out this year, there isn't much else fans could possibly want. That is with the exception of a Ruff Ryders reunion album.
"I'm bringing the Ruff Ryders back real major in '08. It's gonna be a lot of Ruff Ryders shit in '08." Swizz Beats told MTV in a recent interview.
Ruff Ryders, primarily composed of members Dmx, D-Block, Eve, Swizz Beats, and Drag-On, disbanded after their 2005 release "Ruff Ryders Volume 4: The Redemption."
"Not taking away from D-Block [who will also be releasing a group effort this year], not taking away from Bloodline. It's stamping the brand that started all this shit." Swizz told MTV.
"They letting me do whatever I wanna do as the president [of the company]. This is what I wanna do. Do this album, 10 bangers. Trying to get a joint from [Dr.] Dre, Primo [DJ Premier]. We got Dame Grease.
All the original producers, everything to make the Ruff Ryder album authentic head-banger hip-hop. I got everybody right now. X just sent me five verses. Trust me. I don't accept just any X [verses]. You'll see. This is the real deal. I'm not gonna do it if it's not the real deal."
No word as to what the album will be titled or when it'll be hitting stores has been released as of yet.
