nnnnnnfl Free Agency Well as usual a lot of activity quick and some big changes
some of my big winners so fat
1. Dolphins ..parcells.. man.. a big splash out the gate picking up starks torbor and ferguson.. hes totally reinvented the defense in a day.. 2 big run stuffing line eating dts and torbor to fill in the lb corps with channing taking mlb i assume and porter on the edge with a most likely draft of long to fill the other de spot.. and voila.. also picking up charlie anderson from the texans.. youve got a pretty dominant front 7 from what was alacklustre defense last year.. big body wilford was a bit of a reach i think at wr but anything helps at this point also i think smiley was a nice pick up to help solidify the o-line.. once again big daps for parcells beginning his reinvention of this team so far
2.Browns.. potential contenders? they give up their 2nd and third rd picks plus colclough but 2 dominant dts here as well with henderson from green bay and shaun rogers from the lions plus picking up stallworth adds another big weapon to what was already a potent offense last year.. so they managed to improve on defense and offense.. i think that more than makes up for the loss of the picks.. another great ofseason so far for them
3.Eagles- picking up ballhawking corner asante samuels and an excellent pass rusher in lemons should breathe new life into their defense although they still have need for another wr to get the offense really rolling.. maybe walker could fill that spot well see.. id have them higher since these are 2 great pick ups but i still want to see some offensive improvement
4.Bills.. another defense being retooled nicely.. they get stroud from the jags for a second round.. a beast in the middle to help clog the lanes and spencer for some depth im not sure hes figures to be a started in their system.. definitely an upgrade with these 2 over tripplett who was releassed and kawika mitchell helps fill in the lbs corp .. they could have a really solid front 7 if they can go a season without 12 season ending injuries for once..still looking for them to add a true #2 at wr to finish fleshing out the offense though.. bryant of the cardinals is traveling there however and could potentially help fill that position
5. jets- i think they gave up vilma for basically nothing considering he was a pro bowler untilt he swithc to the 3-4 so they lose points there.. but getting monster kris jenkins to anchor the line and now im assuming theyll trade robertson or maybe give him a try at de.. faneca to help out the o-line who i think makes a good fit next to the younger more athletic players and providing some bulk they may lack.. should help out jones and to a lesser degree whomever they decide to start at qb this year.. also i think losing coleman in the secondary hurts some..
6.Vikings Not a whole lot of movement but 2 nice moves.. picking up berrian gives them a good wr who can stretch the field i think makes a good pair with rice and with the deep threat he provides may make people pay for overloading the box to stuff the run.. could make the offense more explosive next year and give jackson a chance to show if hes good enough.. also adding madeu williams to help solidify the defense some more i like
7.Jaguars.. Decided to part ways with all pro dt stroud for a 2nd rounder.. which as is always the case in something like this is questionable.. him and henderson have been a formidable duo for years.. well see what they have in the works.. however they pick up wr jerry porter who i see as a big improvement over wilford and gives them a much more flexible reciever who can stretch the field some.. and the signing of drayton florence gives them 3 starters at cb with florence and mathis the obvious starters..
ok im getting tired so im stopping here for now.. ill get to the biggest losers and other big splashes tomorrow
pardon all the ns i have no clue how that happened.. i blame pokemon
