Rep Power: 6 | Nas debuts at #1! The album pushed 355,000 copies. Thats whats really good. These are correct numbers too, he was expected to only push around 200,000 but pushed way more.
O and yeah he sold more than jeezy. Check if you dont believe me. Nas: 355k, Jeezy: 352k. Duke was talking shit saying "I’ll tell you what, we’ll look at them first week numbers and we’ll talk about it". Well we see the truth.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Nas debuts at #1! Honestly this album is one of nas's that brought hiphop back in my eyes. Like usually people only talk about the usual coke/girls.money.fashion. Nas is bringin back that style of music that we all know nd love..like the song ''who killed it'' that shit made me wanna write in a whole different fashion ... I think making people think should be the main aspect of hiphop |

Rep Power: 2 | Re: Nas debuts at #1! I listened to this CD the first time and was kind of let down to tell you the truth.. But, i was getting a bit elevated yesterday off that good and was bumpin his new release and i liked it a lot for the most part.. a few beats had me like uuuuuh.. but for the most part it was onpoint.. his rhyme structure is so different and his song direction is pretty far out considering the conflicts and final solutions but.. i liked it, props to nas for sellin good music during a wack escalation

| Re: Nas debuts at #1! beating Jezzy by 3000 is saying alot espacially with the new direction nas has taken his work listen to "Who Killed It" or "Hope" and you'll see what I mean. who else is going this far out on a limb to stand out from the rest of the mannequins in hip hop. and to out sell them is amazing. cuz i almost thought for sure that only the Nas fans and hip hop pureests would buy this album. |

Rep Power: 2 | Re: Nas debuts at #1! I am happy to hear that he has beaten Jeezy the first week. Even though I know Nas could careless, he's still the man, and his lyrics are proabably the most worthwhile to listen to in the game right now. If Hip hop has one representative, I think right now it should be Nas.

Rep Power: 3 | Re: Nas debuts at #1! I couldnt care less how many albums anybody sells............If you dont think this has anything to do with him being backed by the most popular major....U couldnt be more than about 16 years old.......Nas has always created great albums with the exception of Nastradomus (sp)
Nas has always been in the history books as one of the best mc's to ever grace a microphone..whether he out sells jeezy weezy sleezy or curly
Jeezy is a pop artist in his own right.. not really a traditional hiphop artist.....
Its like comparing Stevie Wonder to Neo............. |
