Well deserved or are the sports writers just stupid?

A-Rod winning the MVP will never be justified cause he is on a losing team. Personally I don't understand. Last year the writers complained when he didn't get it over Tejada. . . this year they are complaining that he got it. There's no right or wrong when it comes to that.

Bonds . . .his 3rd straight . . man . . . Personally I felt that Pujols should have got it. But I'm not mad Barry won it.

Barry's numbers are great for being walked so many times, but Pujols put up great numbers on a consistent baises.

Very much true . . .but I think that Barry got the award too cause he is 39. I think the writers said . . .Hey, he is doing the same thing as Pujols who is like 24 or something & pitchers are more afraid to hit Bonds.

I think one distinction is that Pujols can hit to all fields, & hit for average, but Barry is more all-or-nothing power hitter.

Another thing that may have hurt Pujols is that he had another MVP canidate on his team. Pujols put up MVP numbers at the plate, but Jim Edmonds put up great numbers at the plate but unbelievable numbers in the field.

When you have two outstanding players on the same team putting up those kind of numbers, you don't have a good chance at winning MVP because they split the vote.

pujols should've gotten it personally, he had better stats than bonds. but i think they gave it to bonds because he passed his god-father in home-runs....

^word. Barry was the sentimental fav. cause of his father passing, reaching 500 stolen bases and also passing Mays. . . but on paper it was Pujols award.

I think you right about Pujols having help. Look at all the All-Stars the Cardinals had on there team. He might have not gotten enough attention.

All I can remember is that on Sportscenter, Jim Edmonds was in the Top Ten Plays and not Albert Pujols.

Sportswriters who cast their votes don't follow baseball, they watch sportscenter and they see who gets the most attention.

Right . .. Just like in that Oklahoma game where that Lupica guy was like they were running up the score and he didn't know that they were kneeling in the 3rd quarter.
