Default Mos Def - True Magic (The Debate)

You know what to do here.
For what it's worth - I love this album.

Mos Should Come More Often With Tracks Like True Magic Itself And The Undeniable
But Then Again
This Is A Relaxed Album
I Hate The ... Hurricane, Tsunami Raps Like... Yeah... Its Been Done But Still
He Kinda Kills The Track About New Orleans As Well...

He Fucked The Liquid Swords Track Up Tho... Shouldnt Of Touch That One MOS...
Classic...
No Room For You To Be Singing Over Wu Tang Shit Now.

Overall This Is A Layed Back Album
With Some Great Songs... And Lesser Songs As Well

But Mos
Gets Better With Time.

Time to get my STRONGARM essay on ... lol

Yeah man people get so used to a artist's one dimension that we forget what being a "artist" is about. You have never seen Kevin Gilbert or Ronald Bull paint a painting and keep painting the same one just with different colors. They establish a style and go beyond the ordinary to expand there versatility. At the same time, you know based upon there style of painting who did witch painting.

Mos Def touched different stages of versatility with he's latest 3 albums. "Black on Both Sides" "The New Danger" and now "True Magic". You know it's a Mos Def album based on his style of metaphors and melodic lines but at the same time brings something fresh to the table each time. Different, maybe so - but he brings the true definition to hip-hop.

I like this cd alot. While I agree that the Liquid Swords beat shouldn't be touched by most, it can be touched by Mos. I love that song. As a fan of Wu-Tang/Gza and Mos, I think he nailed that song. Dollar Day, I love the beat and the song in general. Murder of a Teenage Life is another great one. This cd isn't as good as Black on Both Sides, but it's pretty damn good.
