First of all, I think everyone over reacting about this shit. well I didn't see it on tv since i was trying get shit to eat before watching the game and i have been lookin online for it since EVERYTHING ENDED UP ONLINE.
anyway, here it is Before u can view it, u need to post about what u think about how everyone reacting to it and if abc was safe with what they did.

I saw it firsthand, I think it was stupid to have it, not because of what was in it, but due to it having nothing to do with football at all. Along with that, it was a terrible attempt to plug another of their terrible shows.

i think theyre over-reacting, especially with the direction that our country is going in anyway. but it was somewhat stupid, seeing what just happened with kobe and all. though everyone knows that TO is the epitomy of controversy, and whatever he does, its going to be met with scrutiny. after i watch it though, ill reply again. | |

ABC knew exactly what they were doing when they aired this before the game. They knew how much publicity this would get. Someone ok'd this skit to be played on the air. People didnt say anything when those Coors Light girls started fighting and tearing clothes off during the Super Bowl earlier this year. Tony Dungy fucked shit up even more when he brought race into it. I don't know, but most of the people in this country are too damn sensitive. The FCC is gettin ridiculous too.

The thing is, sexuel innuendo has always been a part of football. Budweiser girls, cheerleaders, viagra ads, levitra commercials, etc. So the sexual aspect of it is nothing new. If a woman's naked back offended someone, you need to turn your TV off and not turn it on ever. This isn't even close to Herbal Essence ads or Victoria Secret shit.
There's also a racial layer here, but in this case, she was the aggressor, so I can't imagine anyone being vexed at that point to.
The thing is, NFL and ABC both knew what they were doing. Read the apologies, they prolly wrote em before the opener aired.
They need ratings and well, they both got them. Someone got a promotion on both ends, ABC and NFL. | |
