I think choosing Palin is going to cost McCain the presidency.

Rep Power: 2 | Re: McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden On the contrary; I think that was a smart move by McCain. Think about it...he's going after all the femenists that were going to vote for Hillary because she was the first woman to get as far as she did. I mean Obama's election will be historical, and a lot of people have been waiting to see a black man finally be respected as the Chief of State. But, on the other hand a female Veep would be historical too and many people have been waiting for that as well. It's McCains only answer to Obama's groundbreaking presidential run. He has to offer something groundbreaking as well. And what better way to steal Obamas votes than with a female who could potentially garner the votes of the Hillary supporters who still got issues with Obama beating her for the party nomination? Brilliant McCain...friggin brilliant!

fuck man read a fucking policy or two before you start talking politics | Umm, his plan is to tax the rich folks income taxes not middle class. He actually plans to raise the income by $2,000 for working class families, which under Bush's administration we lost $7,500 a year on the average. Some families like mine lost $10,000. My husbands job cut his hours down to 30 and his pay by 25% because of the economy. And the economy is tight cause folks is strugglin to pay for a war we don't condone and for gas prices which have in turn raised the prices of groceries, and energy for homes and countless other goods that burn gas to be transported.

SMH...Some people should take there own advice..

Rep Power: 2 | Re: McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden I said raise the income...not give you pay raise smart ass. By raising minimum wage and giving bigger tax refunds to working class families instead the rich; By giving breaks to small buisnesses and not giving tax breaks to huge corporations who outsource jobs from Americans. And by spending the money we spend on war, on research for a better fuel source so that we can end our dependencey on foreign oil. Iraq is 79 billion dollars in surplus...and it's all from our hard earned money. They turn around and take that same money and by munitions to kill our soldiers. I'd say Barak has a deg-gum fine policy...can't be worse than Bush's.

| Re: McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden Raising minimum wage even further is the worst idea ever. Raising minimum wage the last time was too. This isn't some vacuum of a world where everyone can have more money. Look at minimum wage as the floor of our economy, because that's exactly what it is. If you raise that, then you in fact raise everything else, from inflation to the weakening of the dollar and destruction of the small business market. It hurts us two fold in that all that occurs is the price of living increases parallel to the wage increase, effectively negating the raise but also damages the US dollar through inflation, hurting our value on imports. You can't just wave a magic wand and give lower class Americans money because they'll always remain lower class no matter what legislation is passed and you only hurt the overall economy.
You complain about companies outsourcing overseas yet you support minimum wage increase? That's not logical. The reason they have to outsource is due to what was already an incredibly large wage in comparison to oversea production. What will these large corporations due if it were bumped up to say, nine bucks and hour? More outsourcing. At that same rate smaller corporations can't afford to pay Americans to work simply because their profit margins or invested money isn't large enough to support the workforce. These are the businesses we would want to support to keep the larger ones in check. In essence, you're handing the keys to the entire market to those same huge corporations sending your job elsewhere.
People just feel like they're making more money. People are stupid.
As for Palin, he's going after the disenfranchised Clinton voters. It's the best option McCain had.
