Mastering IN Cool EdiT w/ a LoW quaLity Mic

I'd like to know more about this and proper settings. I just put this in but i've only got a pair of headphones as a mike where i'm at now so i wouldn't be able to tell if it was doing a good job or not.

ok I did everything you told me, now how do I record my voice to go along with the instrumental? I pressed record and the beat played, i spit and i dont know how to hear my shit?

record on two seperate tracks... one for the instrumental another for you're actually verse. Lay the beat down first, go to another track and press record to start recording over the track. Then when you are finish press stop and play it back. Then thats when you can start to edit it or what not.

I hate these tutorials, this method doesn't always work.. I think there intended for low response mics, and everyone has different vocal ranges so that person would have to tweek it a lil bit
