Are you that naive? Wow... What made hip-hop was record sales. Then technology came in, CD burning and blogs with free downloads of a whole album. Even artists that put their hard honest work in just to make scraps from selling from their trunk. We sell to make money to get our fucking tour buggies to the next show. Tower Records is closed. Leaving only UGHH, CDBaby, and other online sites to purchase from. EVERY NIGGA IN THE COMMERCIAL INDUSTRY SAID FUCK ALBUM SALES. They focus solely on singles and ringtones. Which leaves the ones that make music for the few left that embrace the desire and purpose of it's elements will be incredible and go undiscovered. And if you bought these albums that are incredible and truly define what hip-hop is, then it would be possible for the renaissance of hip-hop to occur.
