how come Family Guy didnt come back at South Park after the Cartoon War Episodes?

I just watched the re-runs last night. That shit was brilliant.

Maybe its cause Family Guy knew everything they said was true, and South Park made the only joke that they would have been able to make.

'i like Family Guy, I mean I know its a bunch of random jokes, but atleast there not all preachy and up there own ass with messages.'

^That was the only thing Family Guy coulda got em on, and South Park beat to the punch.

Family Guy is not within 100 miles of South Parks level.

The only thing I've never liked about Family Guy is basically a majority of those flashback type of jokes consist of nothing more than putting one of their characters into a famous movie/TV scene and that's it.. they really don't add anything.. so that's the ENTIRE joke. It's funny until you see it 3 or 4 times and you understand there's ZERO creativity in that..

i enjoy Family Guy because the randomness suits me... Im a pretty random person with very random thoughts... in fact a lot of people ask me "where the hell did that come from".... so i can connect with FG on that level...

but i am kinda pissed they never answered the callout... Simpsons have been mentioned twice if not more and have never said anything about South Park that i recall... i think its the whole "if you ignore it it's not there" attitude... Family Guy coulda murdered SP about them running off the one celebrity they ever procured... The voice of Chef - Isaac Hayes... which i think him leaving was pretty stupid, because SP had taken shots at everybody, and its basically how they made their name... and then when his religious group FINALLY gets brought into it, he has a hissy fit and leaves... they got at him good tho... the thing about SP is they dont give a fuck... while FG doesnt give a fuck, but only to a certain extent...

I also think the whole Cartoon Wars was kind of a play on Rap Beef... just call people out n shit on em etcetera.... either way, i think if The Simpsons and Family Guy woulda responded and played ball, ratings would've gone up.... but thats a very good point 8th.... I remember anticipating FG's response, then i forgot about it because it never came...

I like Family Guy also. But South Park is wayyy more thought out and well written.

South Park has never really taken a 'shot' at simpsons. They have mentioned them, with the whole 'simpsons did it' episode, and bart was in cartoon wars. But it was more of a respectful mention than a shot. South Park is definatly more like simpsons then family guy. As far as underlying meanings, and jokes that derive FROM THE PLOT.

but jeah. i think it was weak as hell they didnt respond.

Family Guy is no where near South Parks level. Im not saying Family Guy isnt funny, cause its hilarious. But South Park is hilarious AND brilliant.

im gonna have to go with 8th on this one...

tho when south park slumps... they slump pretty hard and do some weak shit... but they also have some of the most classic episodes in the history of television...

in the long run family guy might reach that level, but not quite there yet... also most of the political jokes southpark does, family guy stays away from, but the other show American Dad from FG creators touches on....

I also think South Park has the upper hand cause they can make an episode in a week and do a lot of current events and relevant shit alot quicker than family guy or simpsons....

but in the end... its Simpsons > South Park > Family Guy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dora the Explora

when has that happened in recent history? Maybe the first couple seasons, but the last 4 seasons or more have been flippin hilarious.

i dont really remember too many specific ones... my memory is shot... but i remember there have been periods where like 2 or 3 episodes were fuckin horrible...

one that comes to mind is the whole ManBearPig shit...

but then all memories of the bad episodes are erased when a classic one like SP 24 "theres a Snook in her Sniz" and Cartmen torturing by inserting apple juice into his arm and farting... i just dont rewatch the bad ones when they are rerun 3 times during the week so i dont remember them as well...

but it doesnt really matter in the long run....

Noggah, the manbearpig one was funny. I remember it being pretty damn funny actually. After all, its half man half pig & half bear. And they made Al gore , rightful so IMO, look like a crazy person.

but jeah, WEDNESDAY. And apparently Cartman as turrets the first episode. Itll be awesome.
