Mkay...n why would this^^ be...?? Just curious...haven't bothered to listen to either yet cause new hip hop usually sucks! I'm just glad Nas isn't remaking old songs just to say he got a album out...WTF was up with that!?

from the reviews it looks likes its pretty dope, dling now

if it is, jay is crazy

beat selection is kinda weak.. lyrics are dope tho. only haflway thru tho and i heard the last half has better beats.. still better then jay's tho

Nas rarely gets those really ground breaking beats..

every now and then he gets something that really compliments his voice and style and vice a versa

but usually if you give him a real listen, his dope lyrics can make a mediocore beat sound nice with enough word play and style

Havent heard the nas joint yet though

heard jays, i liked it better than his last couple of albums, he usually gets great beats and since its for clubs, he got lazed on his style and flow.....

from history, i'll say i'll probably like nas's over jay's but i have to listen to them over the weekend together to really make a choice..

I think it boils down to Nas having bad taste in music. That's gotta be the only reason he gets such mediocre beats on his albums. I read an interview with the guy who produced Life's A bitch sayin how Nas would go through tons of beats before he found one he wanted to rock.
He did so well with Illmatic beats too, I really don't know what happened. I still bump 2nd Childhood and think of how many classics he could have dropped if it wasn't for his beat taste. kinda bumming me out now

Havent heard the new album yet, but I'm guessin it'll have a couple real nice tracks and a lot that are ok with dope lyrics.

Nas easily wins the lyrics battle as always, thats not even a question nore should it be in anyones mind. I havent heard the album yet though, Im gonna wait till it hits stores. Im positive it will destroy KDC.

Its way too early to tell. You'd have to wait til the end of the year to make a fair decision. Once the "newness" has worn off, we'll know who's joint is really better. I don't think you can go wrong with either though.
