Halo 2, the much-hyped video game for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox video game console, had sales of $125 million in just 24 hours on the market, the company said Wednesday.

The figures for the United States and Canada, which represented sales of 2.38 million units, easily exceeded Microsoft's prediction that it would top $100 million in sales. Peter Moore, a Microsoft corporate vice president, estimated that it was the biggest launch of any entertainment product in retail history.


Halo2 sold in a day (yes its counting pre-orders) what most games sale in their whole shelf life.Damn

^^ nope. GTA:SA will prolly sell better in the long run, but Halo2 had the most pre-orders of any game in history(1.5million) and sold an additional 900,000 units all in 24hrs. none of the GTA's are fvckin wit that.
