GTA 4 - What's your opinion 'n be brutally honest

I'm not yet convinced of the fact It's as great as the hype wanted me to believe. First I'm not impressed with Niko Belic.. he seems like a do-goody clumsy stickup criminal 'n that cousin of his ,Roman, annoys the fuck out of me with his constant phonecalls asking me to pick up some people while he's a cabdriver ? Yeah.. the atmosphere's also quite depressing with the dark lighting and such.

I really expected another experience.. and although I only played a handfull of missions thusfar I'm not really impressed with anything. At all.

it's aight , as I said in some other thread San Andreas is better imo...sure visuals are ill in part 4 (shit it's next gen consoles) and a few other things are cool...i.e the aimin' system when usin' weapons...but it ain't all that to me , and it certainly doesn't live up to the hype surroundin' it...but each to they own.

things i dislike is sum of the surroundings.. ie. tall grass as when u drive thru it it dosent move it just goes straight thru your car.. and sum fences that remain the same no matter how hard u hit em.. just lil things like that , everything else is straight

also.. i walked by a cop with a shotgun and he dident do anything.. an i be breaking red lights n they just sit their n watch.. thats sum bs

^if you got pulled over by cops everytime you ran a red light that shit would be pathetic. Also, you may see games that having moving grass and perfect trees and shit in their levels, but the fact is GTA is an entire city that doesnt need to load when you go in a building, car, chopper, new island etc etc. And overall the game still looks incredible, GTA games will never have perfect graphics and great frame rates all the time.

I think this game suffers from having too much hype, it doesnt seem to meet anyones expectations which are all beyond possible.

Only thing I dislike, is the loading time on the multiplayer.
Oh and does anyone else get dirty disc error. I get that after playing
a couple hours, sucks when your in the middle of a mission and you have to restart it.

I had the disc-error aswell.. and I'ma try the multiplayer In a minute plus I've got a headset.

The game IS getting better 'n better now I'm playing more often.. but I miss that feeling like waking up In the morning 'n feel the urge to play some. But I guess I'm just a grown ass dude by now haha chea'

I think It's one of the better games ever released.. but I personally put "Oblivion" In the same sentence ! Or wht about "Fallout 2" when It will be released ? Created by Bethesda Software who are also responsible for the legendary "Oblivion" and it's terrific expansions.

And "Fable 2" will be killa.

online play options..game modes alone are sick
the fact that when u crash the person jerkes around in the car is ill
u can even get ejected.....or thrown threw the glass ...
the game is miles ahead of anything ever before...
the city is alive..not just animated star trek people..lol...

Online mode = KILLER. Alot of players, sick gamemodes.. especially turfwar that shit makes you feel like you're there.

It's like Russian gang vs. Jamaican gang etc. and you collect turf.. It's dope as fuck. I played my first Ranked Match a few hours ago 'n our team (Jamaicans) won 'n I came In second stealing 2 kills, 0 deaths 'n collected 1 turf.
