I kno' all those goonies niggah kno' Jigga would murk 'em and i kno' for a fact dat Nas would too. comeon, da list goes on. those are a buncha average emcee in my eye. I think Warbux is betta' of all ya' pointed and he couldn't probably hang wit Cassidy if it came to a battlin'.
and yo, foreal. u listenin' to "netcees" yo and dats why ya' got no skillz. open ya' mind. you don't read, you don't listen to anyone but netcees and got da nerve to get mad when i diss you.

Rep Power: 6 | i do read. but its not a hobby. how would reading harry potter, or a book about a snitch make me better. and i did listen to mainstream a whillllleeeeeeeeeeeeeee back. and its all 1 dimentional and monotonous. so when you say someone who is dead would murk them that's A. ur opinion and B. will never happen. then when you diss me for no reason u think im not gonna get mad when i dont talk or say shit to ya, now that is ignorant.

| that's another problem -- your only other hip hop experience came from listening to commercial emcees. hip hop doesn't start and end with MTV & Rap City. there's a ton of cats out there doing some ill stuff that's beyond bitches and ice, but if the only thing you listen to is Dirt vs. Warbux you're missing out on it.
i find it funny that you described the hip hop you listened to before as 'one dimensional and monotonous' and then you list i-net kids who are known mostly for battle raps. i'm not hating on anybody you named because i like some of their shit, but to make these guys out to be some of the illest in hip hop is ignorant as hell. a lot of times i think people get 'star struck' by popular internet emcees because they're regular guys that that give them hope. it's a "if they can get this good, then i can too" mentality. i'm not saying that's why you sweat these guys so hard, but it might be a possibility. there's a world of ill emcees out there, don't sleep on them because you're too busy giving props on soundclick message boards.

Rep Power: 8 | yo, the things that sometimes get me to wanna read is dat my man Nas did id. And I on his dic or anythin', but if u listen to Illmatic, probably the best album ever to come out, with Ready to Die and a few others, you probably can find alotta ideas dumbin' out from somethin' you'd most likely find in a book.
and to think, someone from the projects was readin' books, and me at the time bein' on welfare, it was really bugos. The ideal dat was spread across the TV screen was that poo' black people didn't read, they didn't do shit otha then kill people, be hungry or some uncivilized shit or somethin' that downplayed their humanity to the point that they weren't human.
I mean, goddamn, if niggahs like Nas read, I kno' Jigga reads, I kno' alotta cats in the game read. they have to, i mean, rappin' is like the biggest Hip Hop expression of them all. That is why I feel Rap is beyond Rock 'n all dat shit.
(yo, i hate to cut dat shit down, cuz I was babblin', but what I was sayin is that you should open your mind to other hip-hop heads that deserve heads listenin'. Just to name a few, Royce da 5'9, Nas, Wordsworth. I mean, I gotta alot more to shit out fo' you if you really trying to elevate and become an artist, a musician, but just open ya' mind and learn)

Rep Power: 6 | ok chicken,
1. When I referred to commercial cats I was replying to Idris when he spoke of "jigga" and "nas", who of course, are commercial.
2. That does not at all mean I didn't listen to underground cats like, Eyedea, Atmosphere, Deacon the villain, Tonedeff, among others.
3. Just because half of those people battle doesn't make them one dimentional. They, obviously, drop tracks as well, and using your "logic", that would mean that 99% of hip hop is one dimentional because they battle.
4. I don't fuckin' give a shit what you listen to, I have my personal preference, and unless we're in Cuba or some shit, I can do as I please.

| whoa whoa whoa, take the edge out of your fucking posts. even though i didn't necessarily agree with what you had to say i tried to do it in a civil manner. i never said you couldn't listen to whatever you want, that's your own personal preference. i was just trying to explain to you why not exploring other emcees is wack.
and yo, don't ever come at me on some heated shit because you're too fucking dense to ever have a war of words with me. people try to be nice to you because you're slow as hell, but if you're gonna pop off on some disrespectful shit i've got no reason not to call you out. you're a young ass bitch who should get slapped everytime he ever has anything to say about hip hop. you're the posterboy for bitchass suburbanite 'hip hop heads' who live for the net. i used that term loosely because you're about as hip hop as the Partridge Family. nobody respects you and they damn sure don't respect anything you have to say.
you know what happened, i think i hit a nerve when i said you idolize these cats. everytime they drop a new battle i'm sure you vicariously live through them. you're weak as fuck, duke.
---------
and as far as books go, for the love of god read one. i'd hate to spawn a child as retarded as you. maybe you'll learn to walk and chew gum at the same time or something. but lemme leave you alone, i heard the gooniez are gonna let you star in their next bukkake flick.
look it up. |

Rep Power: 0 | Haha, Meta4. Quit trying to seem like you don't care when you've just made a complete turn on the thread's topic.
Anyways, since everyone is talking about "Clockwork Orange", I have to give my personal input. I thought the book sucked some ass, but the movie was crazy ill. Which is rare, cause I usually dig the books more..
The movie is dope as fuck, though. That part where he's just gotten out of prison and he's in the house where he killed the dude's wife.. He's taking a bath, singing the song he sang as he killed dude's wife.. and dude realizes who he is.. Mannnnnnnnnnn, dude's face looked so fucking scary. Shit gave me some horrible dreams. That movie was raw. Doc, as gay as it looks, you'd probably like it, given what I know of your taste. |

Rep Power: 6 | first of all chicken, i didnt come at you. and 2nd of all i don't need to be respected by anyone other than myself. so when i was heated i was merely angered at the fact that just because my opinion doesnt agree with your's i get hated on. the fact still remains that MOST OF MAINSTREAM IS ONE DIMENTIONAL, and if you disagree than you are blind. i don't care what you consider hiphop, i enjoy what i listen to, i could care less what you classify the music i listen to. call it pop for all i care - all i know is that i enjoy it, and frankly if you don't think i'm at all into "hip hop" or am as "hip hop as the Partridge Family", i could honestly care less, because i enjoy wat i listen to. i won't force myself to listen to something i don't like, and if you don't respect my choice and preference in music. Fuck if I care, I don't need someone from across the country tellin' me how to live my life and what to listen to.
