Rep Power: 8 | the perks of being a wall flower was one of the worst books i've read. the dude bit jd salinger's catcher in the rye, except that charlie is a pussy and it was unrealistic
the bell jar is one of my favorite books, really well written.
i hate clockwork orange. it was horrid. seriously.
i just read the fixer by bernard malamud, it started off slow, but it was really good.
i also read a few kurt vonnegut books, he's one of my favorite authors. the last book i read by him is timequake. dr. chicken, you should pick up one of his books, i'm sure you'd like it.
umm..another book i read a while back is Naked Lunch by william burroughs. it was insane. i loved it. i'm about to read it again because it's just one of those books you have to read a few times to fully understand.
OH! another EXCELLENT book i read is LOSER by jerry spinelli. this dude is awesome, he wrote maniac magee. i picked up other books he wrote, and they're great. i recomment em to anyone because they're pretty easy reads and the stories are dope.
right now i'm reading the pillars of the earth by ken follat. wow. it's insane so far. and a bunch of s.e hinton books because the outsiders is such an outstanding book. thought i'd get the rest of her books. aaaaaaaand.. an amy tan book, i forgot the title, but it's about her life and what not, sounds interesting. it's always fascinating to read about the author of a book you really enjoyed. makes you understand the book better.
peace. |

Rep Power: 8 | k, another book i'd recommend to EVERYONE is
A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
"A People's History of the United States is the only volume to tell America's story from the point of view of America's women, factory workers, African Americans, Native Americans, working poor, and immigrant laborers. " |

i picked up slaughterhouse-five based on his reccomendation, i just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. i think i might start that one after i finish up this Scottoline.

Rep Power: 7 | perks of bein a wallflower was iight, i read catcher in the rye too n i see the similarities in plot and character development but still...iono Perks was an easy read n i saw it lyin around so i picked it up...nother book i been readin is the big book wit all of Langston Hughes' poetry, it has like everything he published plus all his childrens poems and poems he wrote that were supposed to be more simply written to speak to those who couldnt grasp some of the metaphors he had in his deeper drops, its dope tho, it made me write more
