^No, he could have had his life made if he signed the dotted line on his football contract. But, he chose to help his country. It doesn't make him better than anybody else that is fighting in Iraq, and yes every soldier who has died should be repsected, but this man said no to a rich life to help people he didn't know.

anonymous ill not saying anything negative about you posting this.. i was only responding to the artical its self because i had already read a similar one in my paper..

prestige, i understand all that and he did sacrifice a lot, i just get fed up with headline articles in news papers being bullshit.. thousands have died in that war and you hear about only a few specifically always because they are known somehow.. i'd rather see a section of the news dedicated to the war and everyone who has died in it

prestige is right,he had the option to sign with the cardinals.Which would've left him here in the states to play football.Instead he chose to go defend his country

    NO!
Why is he the only person being glorified when there are others in the same branch that also lost their lives while on duty? Dude, stop being ignorant, your just another victim of the media. Theres families in the US with dead soldiers who still dont know that their love ones dead but as soon as a football player dies they broadcast that ish!? it makes no damn sense.
