Default Don Imus! are we not tired of racism as of yet?

I mean really guys after all the years gone by it just keeps being brought forth century by century infesting our childrens pure thoughts and minds!

Why is it that "some stupid whites and some stupid blacks or any other ethnic idiot who makes insensitive comments continue to do this?

As for me i now believe my dad who has since passed, He said "son racism will never go away because its sort of like when you harbor old items you dont need any more no matter how much time passes or where you go you continue to drag it along with you". old things never go away they continue to be passed along through time and generations and thats how racism is. but i really am tired of seeing this how about you guys / ladies?

and to think i really thought " ok by the time i am 43 years old just maybe i will never hear the N-word or ever hear about racial stuff again.

i mean i work ,live right, ride a suzuki ,pray mow my lawn respect others make almost 6 figures doesnt that make me equal to any man that does the same?

i mean really do you think IMUS should be banned or is his suspension enough?

ok i know that he deserves to feed his family but does he deserve to be in a market that he has disrespected! so casually?

your opinions please!

Are you never aloud to slip up? I doubt that he is really a 'racist.' Seemed to me to be more of a horrible attempt at a joke. The suspension is good enough. He has learned his lesson. He has been on the air for a looonnggg amount of time. One slip up over all that time is a pretty good percentage. the fake 'outrage' over this is ridiculous though.

I think MSNBC really dropped the ball here... as did CBS with Billy Packer accusing a co-worker of "fagging out" on a bet...

But yeah Imus needs to be removed from his position, immediately.. and permanently.

He's 66... they can easily re-lay some of the blame to his age and say he's just not cut for the youth movement, etc...
But we all know the real reason his ass needs to go.

This isn't Howard Stern asking a lesbian to "munch some kelbasa"...
It's Don Imus berating a basketball team... college girls at that, on the basis of race and body art.

To compare them to the Toronto Raptor's shows just how sick he is...
If Rutgers is nappy headed ho's... are the Raptor's, nappy headed negro's?

Fuck Don Imus.
Fuck MSNBC
Fuck NBC.
I'm not fuckin with Channel 5 News anymore, cuz that's just despicable.

And like Al Sharpton said... if this fucker can get 2 weeks after sayin the Jerry Springer-esque shit he did, where's the line gonna be drawn for the next buffoon?

I guarantee there's radio hosts across the nation already scribbling down all sorts of idiotic psycho babble to spew for ratings and media attention... cuz hey, it's just 2 weeks, right?

Right?

Sad Sad Day In Talk Radio.
Even sadder day in America.

^ you would be just as 'outraged' if it was a black anoucer making some racial comments about a group of white girls, correct?

Let say he called a girls basketball team full of white girls 'pancake-ass hoes' or 'pancake-butt hoes.'

Would that make you call for his termination?

Only a racist or one iggggggnorant person would see the suspension as "suffice" punishment.

I would sue for slander and deformation of character. Which will probably follow.

That mistake is definately grounds for termination.

Imus is definately NOT the victom here. The victoms are OBVIOUSLY these young ladies.

To defend this mans statement is absolutely ignorant.

If the KKK is allowed to be racist & hold meetings, I don't see why a person with free speech just like the rest of us can say whatever he wants. I don't believe anyone should be fired for being a quote "racist", as bad as it sounds, but if there is quite a history of it yes. He shouldn't be fired, but if people are really outraged then don't listen to him & scare his sponsers. Once there is no advertising on the show, or no guests want to come, nbc would have no choice but to get rid of him.

Jesse jackson & al sharpton wanna come out and speak on this dude, who no doubt said something idiotic & wrong, but they both have said racial remarks in the past as well without a apology.

You always make such definative statements. Your post normally come down to "Your clearly a moron if you disagree with me on anything. And I wont even explain myself cause your such a moron"

I wasnt 'defending' what he said. More on his 'right' to say it. I personally found him calling them hoes MUCH MUCH more offensive and innapropraite them him calling them nappy. I dont like how the fake 'outrage' snowballs in stories like these. He is an irrelevant, oldster, radio guy with no audience. If the media wouldn't have ran with it, no one would know about this, and the girls days would not have been ruined. I also dont like the amount the race card is pulled. Al Not-So-Sharpton and Jesse Hi-Jackson are race baiters, and use non-stories like this to throw themselves in the lime light. If there was no racism, they both [and all frauds like them] would be out of a job. Another thing that pisses me off about this is you fucking self rightous people that act as if you've never said anything you've regreted. You've NEVER made a stereotypical joke? You've never said something you wished you hadn't? Be honest with yourself.

but its good to see you continue to have knee-jerk reactions.

by the way, 'Christ', answer me this question:

would you be just as 'outraged' if it was a black anoucer making some racial comments about a group of white girls, correct?

Let say he called a girls basketball team full of white girls 'pancake-ass hoes' or 'pancake-butt hoes.'

Would that make you call for his termination and call him a racist?

This radio talk show host that has clearly made these inappropriate comments should be held accountable for his actions. Am I going to debate if he was a migit with cancer and african genes would he be treated different? Or a caucasion female with pancake back or whateva...No..not at all.

But ..
I will comment on radio talk show host that were fired for these type of comments. He is the only one offered 2 weeks suspension....Why is he special or an exception to the standard ?

These are facts 8TH.....I wont entertain "what if" questions....Lets talk fact about what your idol has done.

Im not a fan. I never heard of him till now, and from what i hear i probably wouldnt like him, but thats not the point. And you wont entertain "what if questions" or comparisions, because you only know talking points. You dont have an actual argument to back anything up.

Relax.
Imus insults everyone let it be slightly racist or aggressive or uncalled for. People who never listened to his show hear this and jump on the anti-Imus band wagon so fast as if he solely went after these girls. Whoops double minority slip up, and now Al Sharpton is on the hunt. It's a damn shame. It's been said before, but a black guy could get away with this eay e.g. Martin Lawrence's career.

Better question:
Is black America too sensitive?

^^^Yeah but Martin is a Comedian...he does stupid impersonations of blacks as well as whites... like Richard Pryor he makes fun of the DIFFERENCES between races but that's not Imus's M.O. He just speaks his mind....he called the governor of New Mexico a bunch of gay slanderous names, he also said that a predominantly black NBA team were a bunch of "shirt popping pimps". It's not the first time he's come out of his mouth with racial stereotypical remarks, generalizing a group of people. And also remember that he's not just talking about a person who warrants these comments, but a COLLEGE TEAM OF GIRLS! I mean these team memebers are STILL KIDS!..not even old enough to drink leagally and still getting allowance from mom and dad. I'd be irrate if some old white guy refferred to my daughter like black women have been reffered to since slavery by racists slave owners and slave traders.
