Your tag, is it YOU? If you were to get signed, is the tag you have now the one you would use? Or is it just something you use on an internet website?

When you sit down to write a piece, are you influenced to write because you're in touch with yourself lyrically..
OR
Do you just write what comes to your dome?

You can write some hott shit, and still now know WHO YOU ARE artistically.

I for example have been in a cyclone for the past 2 years. Honestly, I can't find myself artistically which has resulted in a DRASTIC decrease in my motivation to write ANYTHING.
I am extremely against gangsta shit, but sometimes the fact that Im a dirtbag by heart, gangsta shit shines through my bars even though that isn't my intention. So I find myself quitting after 2 bars or so.
Im in the process of finding myself artistically. With that Im sure a change of styles and name will occur. The only thing Im comfortable with right now is my flow. Im confident in my ability to murder a beat flow wise if I wanted to. But that's not enough to be an ARTIST.

I didnt know who i was artistically when i first started spittin. I knew who my influences were and i could course thru time how listenin to music in general shaped myself as a person.

Being an artist is really just painting the picture of yerself. I understand where u comin from Hayze because my boy Lou Bezzel went thru the same shit. At first he tried to spit the all lyrical n shit under the name Verbal... but he realized who and wut he was, of course thru life experiences (and mad drugs), he became the 'Scumbag Original'... i gotta get u some of his tracks so u can see whut i mean.

Ive gone thru sooooo many names mayne... how i came up with my tag "Vice Gripp" is that i knew i was holdin shit down since day one. Errybody in my hood always looked at me like the motha fukka that reps my county when errybody was claimin Miami or New York or somewhere else and they wasnt from there. Also i was freestylin and i cracked a mic in my grip and incorporated it into my rhyme.. so thats where it came from ya dig. I added an extra P at the end of Grip because the p's to me represented the punchlines i be spittin. I think i spit twice as much shit as the average mufukka and i got two fists to punch wit lol... plus it looked better wit 2 p's ;]~

I think i am wut my sig is, the truth. I try n put out wut i feel and wut i see the best way i can. I try n write shit that'll make u think twice about wut i said... sometimes ill write an entire verse is sections.. just dope shit i think of and after i record it ill be like 'damn, that shit as a whole wasnt solid and aint really make sense togethor'.. but after a few listens i understand errythang. Even some of my wording seems to just fall into place, its hard to explain.

The best way to find ya self is to smoke a phaaaaaaaaaat ass blunt, one of them big head spliff tings... a slow burner too. Make a mix on ya ipod or on a cd of some of the most influential songs that u feel have shaped yer life. Listen to that shit and just reminisce about the journey uve gone on thru ya life so far... errythang thats happened in ya life.

Im sure ull catch up to where u are now and shit will fall into place.

With rhymes I'm one of the ill writers, ill being more of a style than a statement of quality. Punchlines and imagery, leaning toward imagery. Once every ten years I'll carve out a minds blowing topical piece. But I'm not a rapper. So hip-hop artistically I don't know or care where I'm at.
