Dipset's 40 Cal Teams Up With Babygrande For Release Of Broken Safety 2

Dipset's battle tested affiliate, 40 Cal, has teamed up with indie powerhouse, Babygrande, for the release of Broken Safety 2.

Dubbed "Mr. Rewind That" -- a moniker given to him for his hard hitting rhymes and quick witted metaphors forcing fans, DJs, and foes alike to rewind -- has gained the Dip member a strong street following. He plans to continue the ride again and again, continuing to expand the Dipset brand.

"The motto this year is I do it, I did it and I do it again," says 40 Cal. "This brand is here and it ain't goin' no where. Diplomats is more than a label, we like blood."

The album features cameos from the entire Dipset family, including heavy-hitters Jim Jones, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Hell Rell, and JR Writer, along with superstar Akon, amongst others.

As a Dipset member, 40 has waited for the time when he could step up and out on his own. In the interim, 40's heavy following having amassed street based mixtape sales of 50,000+ units.

Before gaining the fanbase, 40 was introduced as a featured artist on The Diplomats' Diplomatic Immunity II along with highly coveted appearances on the Dipset crew's More Than Music Vol. 1 and The Movement Moves On, both of which have been certified gold.

Battle rap enthusiasts, however, have seen 40 face-off against Cardi, Sam Scarfo, and even himself in the now notorious episodes of MTV's "Fight Klub." Those led to a now legendary battle with Def Jam's Scarfo, who had amassed a stretch of victories until 40 stole his crown.

Broken Safety 2 is slated to drop May 22.

"Broken Safety" wasn't that bad, I hate "Dipset" but "40 Cal." Is just beyond his fellow teammates. He's got skill but If only he'd change his name to something that sounds like something and would combine that witty shit with some grimey scientifical/biblical writtens he would be kind of dope.

But featuring the whole "Dipset" camp ? I can't believe that's what he really wanted, he had less appearances on "Broken Safety" because they weren't all over this album but now he teams up with "Babygrande" and that's a good move ... but the minus In this deal Is fucking "Dipset" all over and even "Akon" ... that's not really him In my eyes. If they would leave him alone In a studio with artists he picked himself I think we wouldn't have to listen to these stupid fucks he's with.
