Chopper Slams Diddy, Signs with Cash Money

The "Making the Band 2" alum explained he was upset by what he perceived as Diddy's lack of support for him when Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans last year.


"Puff is a multimillionaire, I'm a thousand-naire at that time, grinding," Chopper said. "I shot the ['I See You Lil' Daddy'] video and the remix with Lil Wayne and Jody Breeze without him even giving me an advance check. I did that thinking it was all love. [Then] Katrina hit, boom, took away my house, my mama's house, took away a lot of stuff from my family.

"When that happened, I didn't get no phone call [from Diddy]," Chopper continued. "He didn't call me and say, 'Are you all right?' He didn't say, 'I got these Sean John clothes and can make sure your family at least has clothes on its back.' He didn't do none of that. So at the end of the day, I felt played. That's why I wanted to disband myself from the Bad Boy situation."

Can't say I blame him...but from the show he should have know Puffy's an asshole. Still it's messed up that nigga got all that dough n can't even set his own artists str8 during a time of unforseen chaos. Just like I stated in the 'rich folk' thread; people got so much and they think that seperates them or makes them special in some way, so they won't take a dime to help the next man set up shop cause they like havin the advantage over the less fortunate. okay now he doesnt have the girl rapper of da band and she only had one big single, ness i aint heard shit really from, and chopper's gone. so that whole making the band 2 season has pretty much just gone downhill and the whole idea was to discover the next huge success in hip hop, actually rap for that matter.

and look at the rest of the lineup its all one hitta quittas or pop acts even his pop acts arent that great, like b5 or cassy. i just think diddy's doin all he can to keep bringing in money to his pocket and keep others pockets jinglin.

his album was pretty nice and should do well

as far as the pop acts danity kane is already platinum and could have a steady career

boyz n da hood was a good album not sure about the sales though

the rest are kinda ehh.. although winans is actually allright and has some hot beats

yes i shouldve excluded 8ball and mjg, but still platinum sales for danity kane who probably sold away 98-99% of gross income to bad boy that 2% among the group then distributed among each individuals members personal expenses aint as paid as diddy can afford to give them. thier in chains to diddy. winans does have hot beats but i aint heard too much lately, also is he part of the singing winans family w/ cece winans etc.? reguardless you know diddy is overpaid and you can never be over generous. yung joc is one of those pop acts, straight cash not good music. i can live without everyone on that roster for all i care the whole label can die and all the money can go to the (red) fund, inner city public schools, and the struggling families of america.

Yeah, I think Chopper was nice. Diddy should have put his joint out while he still had some notoriety (sp). Nobody is checking for him anymore.

chopper=garbage.....choppers music is fuckin trash.....the dude sucks.......but maybe cash money could stand to have another rapper....i mean, cash money is now pretty much only weezy and baby.....baby is garbage so as far as music goes weezy is like the only one sellin....maybe chopper can do better with cash money......but for now he is ass..............
