In recent tv Shows and Mags the BRA title as gone too "Lil Wyane" i9 dont understand i mean then they even have BRA ranking and some how "Young Jezzy" gets in the Top 10 even 5 sometime wtf is worng with people did they forget what rap is i mean sayin vocab dont matter i mean "Jay-Z" like 40 years old and hes still out spitin "Lil Wyane". it went from Eminems and NaS hot lyrical desturtion to the now the Dr.Sues type stylings of the mainestream. but what i pissed off most about is how Kyane and Common and Mos deff and Talib Kweli and so many other spit hotter and have better songs then this nigga whos been super rich snice 11 and makes gangster rap i mean Bow wow is harder then this nigga (even if Bow wow got fucked in the ass by he limo driver). but Commons "Finding Forever" and Kaynes "Graduation" both mainstream albums were better even in the lyrics then Lil wyanes "Da Drought 3" a fuckin bootleger fuck "Lil wayne" just another dumbass that bitches love and the 13 year old white kids adore

but BRA IMO: Common after his last two albums hes show that snice 1991 when he came out he didnt fall off but steped up fuck the rest

look morons. all major genres of music have undergone their "commercialism" period, and now its hiphop. Sure it brings along wack rappers like Soulja Boy, Jeezy etc etc, but thats part and parcel of the music industry. Why would a major record label put on a rapper who sells 20,000 cds but is actually hot as fuck, to a rapper who can get on TV and radio and sell 2,000,000 but spitting straight bullshit? For the label, the wack rapper is the "better commercial alternative". Commercialism in hiphop is a two way street, sure we have to put up with these pathetic MCs as the face of the genre, but it also brings in alot more attention to EVERYONE in hiphop. The more people who start off listening to Rich Boy rather than Fall Out Boy, the more interest (no matter at what level) it brings to hiphop. There are more emcees in the game now than ever before, both underground and commercial. now Lil Wayne may not be the best rapper alive, but hes one of the smartest. He went from saying that shit once on a mixtape, to making it a song title, to now being labelled by many people as, The Best Rapper Alive. that shit is self marketing at its best. Whether or not you believe it to be true doesnt really matter, the fact is people are associating that phrase with him.

All music is personal, and therefore nobody is going to agree on a universal best emcee. I dunno why you need a magazine or tv show to try and tell you otherwise. they are the same entities pushing your hated "commercialism" rap towards the forefront.

The reason it pisses me off is because this is my cultures music. they see me walkin down the street and because of these dumb ass niggas on TV, alot of people automaticly look down on us. i mean thiers always been alot of racial issues and its not gunna stop. but if the people ascoiate rap music with the black community.
