ESPN. Because its based on the players skill more than the team you pick and the computer AI controlling the player's teamates. When you up the difficutly, the AI in ESPN actually uses better strategies, rather than Madden's diffiuculty that just makes interceptions and fumbles more frequent. The running game in ESPN is superb. I love the maximum passing option, the overall way the players move, and the fact that you don't need "juke" buttons to play the game. The most effective way to juke is to do it yourself on the controller, which again, makes the players skill the x factor.
And of course, the graphics of the 2k's have always been superior.

i admit espn was kinda nice, until i played madden
espn will never ever ever be as nice as madden no matter the price, the graphics are a little more realistic but the gameplay isnt that nice.
