lots of people seem to excuse dope ass soundtracks.

'i am sam' had a great soundtrack featuring nick cave and the bad seeds, stereophonics, aimee mann, guided by voices, grandaddy, etc. most of which is beatles cover songs but its really good most of it, howie days on there too.

'trainspotting' had a great selection of iggy pop music.

even 'armageddon' had a great idm soundtrack, plus the theme is probably the best aerosmith song.
