maybe i have to set you all straight, alot of you think a dope battle rapper is some1 who flows nice talks street, and his best (ussualy only) punchline is about claiming his more gangster,
a good rap battler is some1 disses there opposition on their looks, appearance, gear etc and who can come with good rebutles..and dope punchlines
e.g. imaculate- 04 winner of scribble jam
professor green- dope at times, decent at others uk battler

australlia rappers and underground rappers rap bout diffrent things cause thats how they grew up.. most dudes in my area, aint just rappin bout gunz and bein more hood.. dudes get personal cause dudes are nice round here.. and most dudes that ive seen who are "hood" have the illest punchlines i have ever heard.. sometimes instead of voicing your opinion you should actually sit down and listen to dudes like cassidy, jin, murdamook, loaded lux, t-rex, shellz, jae millz ect ect.. cause if you think thats all they talk about, your not open minded at all, your just stuck to the fact that your genre of rap is better than everyone elses..

for eg. using the murder mooks and jay mills examples u used, im sure uve heard the audio or seen the battle..there was not 1 DOPE punch line, no creativity notice how each of them knew what the other was about to say on about 10 occasions thats just too generic.

jin on the other hand, is dope he has mad rebutles, great freestyle ability and good punchlines.

Alright, for the fucking record. What have any of these cats running around NYC with menstruation punchlines (make pussies bleed like) and talking about shells the size of D-batteries and every other line mentioning guns with a number (threes, nines, eights etc) as their names - what have they done to contribute to the literature of hip-hop? Imagery, social commentary, introspection, even just some real raw quotable lines? I don't see too fucking much. I see a whole lot more biting and everybody feeding off each others' punchlines and styles and recycling stupid garbage. It's nonsense to me.

Word..attacking your opponents appearance is really what counts in a battle. Anybody can come up with a punchline and use it. Dissing off of somebodys shit though is a little more original.
