why do people think that just cause a job is low skill low wage that they are always available?

Because they are.
Their is a difference in no jobs being available, and not wanting to get a job.

Where I'm currently working I started at like $8.25/hr pretty shitty pay.
That was a year ago, now I'm making $11.75/hr. And all I do is walk around for 8 hrs. a day.

it was 3.99 tonight and i shouldve gotten it then, when i left work it was 4.09 and thats cheapest you'll find in the whole chicago land area, aside from maybe 2, 3 cent different

You can support yourself on 2 burger king type jobs. If you have no other skills, not even a high school diploma, you could get 2 burger king jobs and work 80 hours a week and make good money.

Obviously that is not preferred. But don't say you cant get a job. You just dont want the job you can get. Go to school, get some experience, train with someone who's already in your field.

There are plenty of ways to get ahead and get experience in job fields, not all of which you need money to do. And sometimes, you have to work shit jobs. EVERYONE DOES. Do you think the CEOs of companies started off as CEO's? Are you fucking kidding me? The overwhelming majority of self made people worked tons of crappy jobs to get where they are. Its called sacrifice, determination, and hard work.

There are people that own McDonalds franchises now that started off as hourly employees. They worked up, and worked up and worked up.

i dont think anyone would question that hard work gets you to the top but your example is extreme....just cause you see some mcdonalds signs hiring dont mean they hiring for full time work, alotta of these larger corporations with low wage low skill jobs make attaing a FULL TIME position like attaining a big promotion because at that point they have to start paying benefits....the southern grocery store PUBLIX is a great example of this bull shit

Go to school, get some experience...tutition is free? books are free? rent and food are free when you gotta do a two year internship inorder to be qualified for an entry level posistion that you just racked up 30000 dollars of student loan debt for?

I bounced around job to job from 18-20. I started doin this Electrician shit wit Lou Bez back in February of '07.
