Rep Power: 0 | used to.. untill i realized the end of the world will never come in this lifetime and chaos has no chance of taking the place of an organised government.. in other words, i grew up
i mean really,
ur not a follower of anarchy unless ur naked, homeless and not buying anything.. cos ud think of wearing clothes and living in a home being provided for by the government
every patch u buy with an "A" through a circle on it, makes u less of an anarchist..its pathetic really, how many ppl think this will stick..u might as well just admitt ur a poser following a trend, believing in something thats so unrealistic and ur ideals contradict themselve.. etc etc.
society does control u and it sucks, i hear u there, but its not gonna change cos some teenagers think it will. |

Rep Power: 7 | "A world without borders or governments where people have real control over their lives and are not worn down every day by the relentless toil of earning money to buy food to fill your belly so you can sleep easy so you can get up the next day to earn money to buy food..."
that's probably the best explanation i can give for why i'm an anarchist. and you have a good point, aylle. anarchism never will take over and there will always be some sort of organized government around that sets rules and regulations. but that's why anarchists are who they are. trying to stand up to that fact. the way i see it, anarchies are like the KKK. white supremacy will probably never be in control again (at least in most civilized countries) but white supremasists still come together to try and make it happen. nothin is going to happen unless someone forces it to. an anarchy is sort of a government of its own. the people involved do what they want, when they want. there will always be someone telling you what to do, that will never change. but how severe their power over you is can change. |

now, factor in things like science, technology, exploration, transportation, education. how can this all get done with out some organized system? from the example you gave within that quote, its hard to see how anything like that could function sucessfully. |

Rep Power: 7 | the objective of anarchism isn't to overpower everything and everyone in the world. like i said, there will always be some sort of authority, but wether it is a supreme authority that controls our every move, or a more laid-back authority that allows us to roam freely and do as we wish to an extent is what anarchism is trying to accomplish. i agree that a world without any type of organization would be very out of control. but just imagine if there were nobody telling you how to treat your body, how to drive, when you can smoke, when you can drink, whether you can carry a lethal firearm or not, etc.. a world like that is what anarchism is trying to accomplish. take the one line from that quote...
"Where people have real control over their lives"
that is the main purpose for anarchism. people don't like to be told what to do. if we want to do something, we should be allowed to do it, no matter how severe. it's our lives. we should be allowed to live them how we wish. |
