Rumors surfaced that Emmitt Smith is possibly considering retirement, but he later denied them. Personally I think he's one of the top 5 to ever play that position. Where do yall place him on the list as greatest running backs?
Damn that shit is true he retired today.

Top five, maybe. I'm not sure really, he had the best line of its day. Also had the best passing attack to back him up, its not like he had to carry a franchise.

Jim Brown.
Walter Payton.
OJ Simpson.
Barry Sanders.
Gale Sayers.
Eric Dickerson.
Terrell Davis.
So he's stuck in the 8th or 9th position.

Curtis Martin is better then Emmit Smith. He was always the #1 man on the Pats and now the Jets, and look jow many yards he has so far over his career.

dick heads, ho got the carrer rushin yards record? who got the most consecutive 1000 yard seosons? who has the record for most TD's by a runnin back in a carrer and had it for the single seoson record too till few years ago? who's been consitent over tha span of all those years like him?............ i could keep comin wit more but the answers is Emmit Smith................. so he's ranked #1, n yall just stuck on that shit were yall think everybody from back in the day way better then cats nowadays.
