well not so much. but i read some statistics recently that said like 70% of american highschool grads cannot point to england on a map.. havent got a passport.. um. although america is very multi cultural, the time i spent there basically gave me the impression that most american people think of their neighborhoods as the whole world. its like they feel that theyre going to be born there, live there and die there and thats all that matters.

personally, i dig america. americans are pretty arrogant though, and ignorant even without realising it. americans either hate america too much or love it too much. but seriously, some of you people are dumb as hell. anywhere you go in the world, everyone speaks english and knows american history. how many americans have really taken the time to recognise and study another culture without it being mandatory or a language? very few ive ever met. most americans i know cant speak anything but english and even that theyre not good at. they cant name 50 states, the seven oceans, etc.. ive met americans who think you can take roadtrips to hawaii.. who think amsterdam is a country and they know only that you can smoke grass there, nothing of the language or anything..

what the hell is wrong with you people.

What u're saying are facts, but I still think u're generalizin' too much... Many Americans may lack some general knowledge, but I dont think there are any statistics sayin' that Americans have less logical sense than others (of course, there's always a stupid minority everywhere)... That proves that it's just somethin' wrong with American schooling and not Americans...

Common knowledge is kinda different than stupidity..

and lack of knowladge? knowledge. besides, it's not just to do with the universal stupidity, it's your complete lack of culture. do any of you even take the initiative to seek what else is out there in the world or just assume america is the only place that matters? can you communicate with foreigners who don't speak english? do you even care to? americans are so narrow minded they don't even take the time to realise it.
