Yeah its still called biting either way. There really is no difference. But in this case their just trying to show respect. The way I really see it as paying homage is if they say the persons name in a verse. Example: "Like my man biggie use to say..blah blah w/e" But when you dont do it and you just say the line with out shouting on the cat that created it then I think its more shark type shit. Ionno thats just how I see it.
