Where do we draw the line between brillance, and altering the natural order of life? That's how do decide, cause there's always hypothetic situations |
that was one of the main points in the article
it basically said as soon as your basic midwives tribal priests leaders etc learned how to help the young through birth and basic medicine was implemented it started a drastic reduction in our evolutionary pace until you reach today where it is at near standstill
and as far as mental evolutino that is a form of evolution i believe and one we are probably still undergoing to a degree.. we are probably far more ready for the higher sciences and less adapted to natural knowledge i.e. survival type skills mentally than many years before
but a big part of the recent drastic increase in technology is mainly in the globalization weve experienced which allows fast transfer of data and the fact were no longer losing knowledge as civilizations fail or collape etc combined with the increased availability of food and less need to worry about other factors.. which is admittedly the result of improved techniques over the years
those factors probably more than any mental evolutino have resulted in the outburst of new technology weve experienced which could then shoot a hole in the mental evolution theory and just be attributed to a lessenign of factors that inhibited transfer of ideas and knowledge and resulted in the destruction of them combined with an increased freedom to pursue further advancements
