Re: The Game Tells Jay-Z To Push His Album Back Yeah that's what I'm saying. As far as I'm concerned the guy has no musical credibility whatsoever. He isn't hyping his new album saying 'man this is incredible I put my heart and soul in this and made some beautiful music'. He's judging how successful an artist is by how much they shift.
I can't believe you're impressed with the album cover shit. The idea of conceptual continuity dates way back, even in rap alone. It's not original or clever, and just cause some rapper does it doesn't make it new. It's just an album cover. He's not reflecting his growth as an artist or rapper either, he's reflecting his growth in wealth. Fuck that.
The original point I was making is that he might as well give it the same cover as the documentary, cause it'll just be more of the same old music.
And yeah, you should expect unoriginal music from the game, as you should with nearly all rap artists. I'm not saying it's terrible music, just unoriginal and, in many cases, boring imo.
