It was not a "victory" for israel. There goal was to disarm and defeat hezzbollah, niether of which they did. They agreed to a cease-fire for some stupid reason. I mean, In the six day war, they defeated 4 nations in 6 days, and now they couldn't defeat a terrorist group in 30? They fought this war how americans now fight wars. Very half-assed. They needed to go in with over whelming force and whipe them out. Not just react to when hezzbolah rained down missiles on israel. But they, like america, is trying to fight a media-friendly no-casualties war, and that is impossible. Basically, now hezzbollah, and all other terrorists are emboldened. |
