look, if iran actually dropped a nuke on tel aviv, ww3 would be very painful (for people in the middle east) and very short. the only thing people in the US would notice is slightly raised cancer rates 10 years on from fallout drifting round the globe. and a chunk of the globe from around the western border of egypt/turkey to the eastern border of pakistan would be a big radioactive hole. there's a reason the US still keeps its strategic arsenal, ya know.
if iran tried to attack israel conventionally, they would lose horribly. israel couldn't beat hezbollah, but it's just the same as how the US couldn't beat the viet cong. almost exactly the same. in a conventional war israel is still the strongest military force in the region by a long way.
oh yeah, but either way gas prices would go haywire. |
